Gate

A controlled entry point that restricts vehicle or pedestrian access to a community. Gates may be operated by remote controls, key cards, access codes, or a staffed guardhouse. Gate systems are common area components maintained by the association. They require regular maintenance and eventual replacement, making them a reserve fund item.
