Inspector of Elections

An independent person or entity appointed by the board to oversee the election process in a California common interest development. The inspector is responsible for determining the number of members entitled to vote, collecting and validating ballots, counting votes, and reporting results. The inspector may not be a board member, candidate, or relative of a candidate. This role is required by the Davis-Stirling Act.
