Planned Development
Also known as: PD, PUD
A type of common interest development in California where individual owners hold title to their lot or unit and share ownership of common areas through the association. Unlike condominiums where ownership is defined by airspace, planned development owners own the land beneath their structure. Planned developments include single-family home communities, townhouse developments, and mixed-use projects.
