SB 721

A California law requiring owners of multifamily residential buildings with three or more units (including apartment buildings, not just condominiums) to conduct inspections of exterior elevated elements such as balconies, decks, and walkways. SB 721 is broader than SB 326 in that it applies to all multifamily buildings, not just condominiums. Property owners must hire qualified professionals to perform inspections and make necessary repairs within specified timeframes.
